"JAKE" Rest well, sweet boy...
Jake was our 12+ year old rescued Bernese Mountain Dog x GSD mix. We adopted him on August 26, 2006 at the age of at least 10 from a wonderful "quality of life" shelter, Ayres Memorial Animal Shelter in Sprakers, NY. His two favorite activities were eating (with gusto!) and holding down the sofa. And he knew every Sunday morning he got to got out to breakfast with us, which he looked forward to. How he loved going for rides in the truck! He had his own fan club at the local Tractor Supply store. We could not have asked for a sweeter dog and we were so blessed to have had him in our lives. He left us quickly and unexpectedly on November 2, 2008.
I know there is a sofa and milkbone tree in heaven with his name on it. Our house is empty without him.
